| We are sleepy heads this morning after the late night then our toilet blocked at 3.30am !!! Maintenance had it fixed in a jiffy but of course we couldn't get back to sleep !! Hey ho... |

| Finnsnes is another substantially sized town...we can't get over how many people live this far north.... |

| We dock at Tromso at 2.30pm....it's the 8th largest city in Norway with 68,000 inhabitants and home to the most Northern University....I might have mentioned before and I shall again we are amazed at how many people live this far north and how big the communities are.... |

| It has a mix of old and new buildings and like the other towns we have visited very clean and tidy...the Norwegians are very friendly and courteous..... |

| Love the way the roof is designed for the snow to slide down from the roof..... One of our observations is how many young Norwegians knit, it's so good to see.....they may be listening on their ear pods and on the phone as we all are but at the same time they are sitting on the ship knitting..... Dinner tonight was gorgeous Artic Char....there has been fabulous salmon, pollock and halibut.....one of the main ingredients in their cooking is barley, one of my favourites is a type of barley cous cous....we are certainly trying some different cuisine.... And another great day on board Kong Harald comes to a close.... Until the next post it's goodnight from The Well Fed Cruisers.... |

ReplyDeleteEnjoying the photos Sue, that part of the world is good for photographers. Looks chilly but then that is better than damp which is what it is here - will this rain ever stop? Ive been to Trondheim! Was there when I was 21 for Christmas!! All because my best pal at the time married a Norwegian lass and we went to see her parents and because I fancied her best friend who didnt go home for Christmas that year and stayed in London!! Story of my life! Enjoy
